Getting permission

You need to get permission from all the copyright owners of music that you want to use.

To find out who the copyright owners are, look at the back of the CD, or, if it’s off a website, check out the song details on the website.

CD covers include the publishers’ details.

If you need help working out who the copyright owners are the following copyright owners’ agencies might be able to help you:

For music, contact APRA (the Australasian Performing Right Association)/ AMCOS (the Australasian Mechanical Copyright Owners Society) at print@apra.com.au.

For recordings, contact ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Association) at licensing.mail@aria.com.au.
